The Story
Jason Hill. Known as Güerote.
Jason Hill — known by thousands of fatherless children and orphans across the globe as “Güerote,” the man who shows up and finally sees them — grew up as a fatherless boy himself on the streets of Akron, Ohio, surrounded by addiction, violence, and silence. He was the kid no teacher knew what to do with. Too angry. Too distracted. Too broken to fit inside the system.
What nobody saw — what nobody told him — was that he wasn't broken. He was a warrior in survival mode.
Years of hard living followed. Six years of high school. In and out of jail. Multiple moments where he almost didn't make it. He lost his sister to heroin at 35. He nearly lost himself.
Then Leo showed up. One man. The right man. With the right compass. And everything changed.
I didn't build this. The boy I was built it. He needed a way out, and he was tired of waiting for someone to show up for him and his sister. So he built the hero they needed. I'm that creation.
Today Jason is a speaker, coach, and founder of Young Warriors Global — living in Mexico, working with orphanages, and taking the mission that saved his life to every child who needs it.
The Journey
From Lost to Legendary
Akron, Ohio
No father. Mother in addiction. Violence and silence. The kid everyone gave up on before they ever really tried.
LA Streets
Years of damage. In and out of jail. Six years of high school. A life heading the wrong direction at full speed.
The Coma
Everything fell apart. And in that darkness — stripped of everything — something finally woke up inside him.
Leo Changes Everything
“Jason, I see who you actually are.” One man. One compass. Everything changed.
Young Warriors Global
20 years building the program, the playbook, the compass. Thousands of kids. Schools. Orphanages. The W.A.R.R.I.O.R.S. framework born from lived experience.
The Legend Becomes Güerote
Little Jay Hill used the Compass to become Güerote — the Legend. Now in Mexico, living inside orphanages, taking that same transformation global — one child, one compass, one Young Hero at a time.
The Mission Statement
I didn't go back for them. I went back for Little Jay — and they just happened to be there. I show up for them the way I wish someone had shown up for Amanda.
“The streets will get there first — unless we do.” That's not a tagline. That's the clock Jason lives by every single day.
I went back into the dark for one reason: to pull the warrior out. When you face your wounds, you don't just heal the child in you — you rewrite your past. And when your past changes, your future changes with it. You aren't who you were told you were. You are who you decide to be. At 50, I moved countries, learned a language, and recreated my entire identity from scratch. Don't tell me it's too late. The old story ends today.
Today, the mission is simple: take the Compass I created in the dark — the same one that changed the course of my life — and put it in the hands of every unseen kid still fighting for theirs. The truth is, the only one who can save them is them. We're building a way out, where warriors are built and legends are made.
